Datacenter ISP maintenance - downtime for all applications, scheduled 1 year ago

Our datacenter Internet Service Provider is going to make hardware and network topology changes on Wednesday 27/11 starting at 22:00. The maintenance includes multiple failover tests and will interrupt several time the connectivity. The maintenance window should not exceed 3 hours.

To prevent unwanted consequences, the following application will be put in maintenance mode at 22:00:

  • WinBooks on Web
  • WinBooks Connect
  • WinBooks View
  • WinBooks DEP api (Mail-to, OCR,...) Other services will stay online but may temporarily be interrupted.

The maintenance mode will be removed as soon as our service provider has ended our changes and we have validated the service has been successfully resumed.

We apologize for any inconvenience the maintenance could create and thank you for your understanding.

Progress:

  • 22:00 - The maintenance will occur around 22:30. All applications will be put in maintenance mode prior to the hardware change.
  • 22:30 - The hardware change will occur any minutes now.
  • 23:00 - Failover tests are ongoing
  • 00:05 - Tests are done, we reboot our devices while we can
  • 00:23 - An issue has been detected during the reboot, the maintenance is still ongoing until we find the cause/solution
  • 00:39 - The maintenance mode is progressively removed from applications
  • 00:49 - The maintenance mode has been removed for all applications. Services should be resumed/restored.
